Our local Kew Cemetery has asked me to look into running some events which include lighting etc . This is a walled cemetery and about 180 years old. Big problem is power availability but working on this.
There are a few large "memorials" otherwise a lot of graves with "residents" organised by religion etc.
To show them lighting possibilities I have put together a "universal" lighting box. This has Rasberry Pi running FPP with a Hansen rPi MTC cap in a box (pic attached)
It has
24V and 5V power supplies
Power distribution board for 5V and 24V
Thermal fan controller for cooling
Rasberry Pi with Hansen rPi Cap
DMX 48 PWM controller
Waterproof sealable enclosure.
Have set this up to demo with FPP and XLights
- 1 x 5V Pixel string
- 4 x 24V DMX Floods RGBW
- 4 x 24V analog RGB Floods or wall washers
- 12 x 24V LED strings
- HDMI output to projector
- Audio output to speaker
- Program selection via PB or motion sensor
- 5V 16 pin header for 9x P3 panels (will show local video)
- E1.31 output for external pixel control board (16 x strings)
Also have a very large fogging system linked to DMX
Initially will use as a demo and then add other sections with WLED controllers etc.
We have a demo running with show including voiceover and animated faces talking describing the lives of actual residents synced with lighting and music, also a Hollusion with Video and sound.
This will be a fun project but will happen over a couple of years. If you want to join this project let me know.
