I have a spinner that is about 48" in diameter (~1.2m). It is going over a garage door on brick maybe 10 feet up.

What is the best way to secure it?

I was thinking to mount it to 1/2" emt, mounting screw and hold on brick, mount the conduit to that

I screwed into the wood ledger boards under the peak and use a pully system to raise and hold my ppd geo wreath in place on my garage over the doors. I then use bungees to hold the bottom close to the garage so it doesn't swing too much in the breeze.

Thanks. I am probably going to put two anchors in the brick: to and bottom. Screw an eye bolt into those. Then run a rope cable through the conduit and use on off those tightening hooks to make it more tight

I use EMT like you're saying. I have some strong magnets on the frames at the top and some metal washers permanently mounted on the house for them to snap to. For others, I put a D-ring up at the eaves and run a cord from that to the top, which the EMT frame sitting on a ledge or the ground. These jack-o-lanterns are about 4ft wide (they're from Boscoyo), and I also put a Rosa Grande XL there for the Christmas display, it's 6 ft and 1400 pixels, and it works fine as well. I would link the magnets I use, but Amazon is having some issues today. They're just rare earth magnets with a hole in the middle for a screw.

Edit to add: I started using an EMT frame for the garage door trim this year, so you can see some 3D printed tees at the bottom that are now holding these in place. Those weren't necessary until I put something round down there.
