A work colleague showed me this site today. I haven't had a good look through it yet , but the link goes straight to a LED wiz.
For some of the less knowledgable people out there it might come in handy. http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz

    Resistance calculation

    Hi guys,

I am new to LED board design. I am trying to build myself a small LED panel.

    I have 25 LED connected in a series (5V 60mA) for each LED. I have a 48V,350W AC/DC power supply.

What resistor do I need to add into the series of 25 LED? Or do I need one?

    Appreciate any feedback.

    Re: Resistance calculation

    Thanks for the reply.

I only saw information for single color LED there. If I am using RGB, how will I find out forward voltage for my LED?

RGB Leds are actually 3 LEDs in the one form factor. so each colour is treated as an individual circuit
