LED Colour Quality

Do different protocol leds have better colour quality. I have some ink1003 from Ray and the primary colours are good but if you try some of the other colours like brown or silver or even some light blues or greens they don't come out very well.

Do different leds show the colours better or is it just a matter of you get what you pay for. Cheap - not real good colours, better quality = better colours.

Unfortunatly colour quality will vary with many of the vendors from China as the LEDs would be sourced from various levels of binned LEDs, so something you ordered a few months ago may have a different look/feel to them if bought now
Also LED intensity does drop over time and the quality of the LED also helps determine the time it takes to get to 50% of its original brightness
