LED Solar path lights 50 cents at Bunnings Scoresby

Some people have thought about replacing the LED in solar path lights with pixels, but it always seems expensive buying something just to gut it. I’ve been hanging onto old ones that no longer work just for that purpose.

This morning at Bunnings Scoresby I saw these LED Solar Path Lights for 50 cents (was $3).

Might make for a cheap case.

I didn’t buy any because I already have enough plans to keep me busy.

I’ve bought those cheap ones before, they only last a few months in our heat and humidity up north. You may have better mileage if you only have them out for December but I wouldn’t rely on being particularly waterproof!

Good idea if you want to pixelise them, like many have done with the TRS solar ball lights.
