I’m trying to configure my P5 panels in Ledvision and 4 of my 5 rows are displaying properly but the last row of panels is scrambled, my overall panel are 4 wide and 5 high. They are P5 panels and I’m running ledvision 8.5. As you can see from the picture the bottom row of panels isn’t configured correctly as it isn’t displaying properly.
All the panels are 64x32 pixels and are 8s but the bottom row are from a different batch, and that is the only difference I can see,

Here are some screenshots and if someone can give me a suggestion, that would be great,

Where did you buy the panels?
Did you create the panel configuration yourself or did the vendor provide it?
Did you try swapping the controller ribbon from the top row to the bottom, just to check if the panels are working properly?
What firmware version is on the Colorlight controller?
Have you tested those panels individually?
How are they physically connected to each other?
How are they configured with the Colorlightcard?

This is the best thing to do first.
It's entirely possible that the different batch have a different processing chip on them and may not be able to be used with the first batch.

Ok did a bit more investigation as per your suggestions (thanks by the way). I have swapped around a few cables etc and worked out that the bottom 4 must be a different chip as when I swap around the cables through the different ports on the card, it is always just the bottom row that doesn’t light up.

To be honest I can’t remember which vendor I got the 4 strange ones from but these were the first 4 I ordered a few years ago and never got around to using them but the others I got from Light it up LEDs and Paul sent me a config file which all works well. I think I will swap out the 4 original ones after Christmas. So for the time being I have just changed the size of the panel to ignore the bottom row.

I did do the firmware upgrade using the preset firmware option in the LEDUpgrade software (see below] and it has upgrade it but now I am getting a strong flicker (actually it is more like a strobe every second) on the screen. So I went to the colorlightinside.com website and downloaded the latest version but when I select this file, the software says invalid file. Any ideas?

I should have also said that before I did the upgrade to the firmware, I had no strobing at all

Downgrade it back to where it was, or to 11.04

There are known issues with v13 and FPP, which also causes flickers in LEDVision.

thank you for that and I have downloaded the file from the link you have provided but it won’t let me downgrade as it claims it’s an invalid file (see below)

Ahhh yep I see the problem. The firmware I posted is for a v8.x hardware revision, yours is a v6.

Did you save the old firmware prior to upgrading?

Perhaps someone else has the version 6 hardware with the old software? I have also placed an order for the version 8 card

Maybe visit the Zoom room to see what they have access to. I've only ever had a v8.x board.
