I'm hoping someone with more experience may be able to provide some assistance/advice.
I've currently got two functioning strips of WS2812B 5V LEDS with power injection at every 101 pixels.
I fried one strip of pixels whilst soldering yesterday so the WAF is dropping fast with the "wouldn't it have been quicker and less expensive to buy the rope light from Bunnings?" harder to ward off.
The issue I have now is despite the power injection it seems that the data line may need a boost as the 50 pixels required across the top is only being half lit when connected to the "functioning strip" on the right column, but it is lighting up as expected if I connect it up to my pixel tester.
I've hooked up a multimeter to each of the pigtails (including the injection points) to check the connectivity and all appear to be ok.
Instead of using a null pixel; I've used a logic level shifter to shift from 3.3v to 5v from the esp8266 running WLED. For some reason the data signal didn't work when I ran it via the Power8 distribution board but not sure if that's related to the half-lit strip issue?
I've included a cross-sectional diagram (in millimetres) below of how I'm trying to get it to function but I'm at a loss as to why it's not lighting up despite adding the power injection?
