LOR 16 channel 240 v and vixen

Hi,

I am looking at getting one of the lor 16 channel 240 volt controllers to use with vixen (through dmx convertor).

Along also with approx 4 of the 27 Chanel boards from ray.

Does anyone use vixen with the lor 240v controller? Are there any issues?

Also was thinking of getting the lor controller as a kit and putting it together myself ( to save some money). is this worth it?

There shouldnt be any issue as DMX is DMX and the LOR board will run in DMX. The only time that there can be an issue is if the dmx data stream is not continual, this will cause the board to stall while it works out if its LOR or DMX protocol before starting again
 
All the new LOR boards support LOR and dmx. For a fair while most of them have had this dual support but if you are looking at buying secondhand rather than new LOR boards then you may need to check the hardware revision and they may need a firmware update via the hardware utility that comes with lor. The demo version of LOR should have the hardware utility and all the firmware updates.
