LOR with e1.31 and mini director

Hi

I'm a newbie and I was wondering if my mini director can control my e1.31 controller or do I still need the PC to do that? If so then would there be any sync issues using the mini director for anything lor while the PC controls the e1.31?

A good proven way to use e1.31 with LOR and the mini director is using the sandevices ELOR, thats is the only way you will get E1.31 when using a mini director

I bought the ecg-p2 based on recommendations here. Will that work with the elor? Saw a video with the elor but they used the sandisk e1.31 controller with it.

Its an e1.31 device so yes it will work. The only limitation is the ELOR will only output 4 universes, the ECG-P2 is capable of doing up to 8 universes. So you will only be able to use a max of 4 universes in the ecg-P2 with the ELOR

OK am I better off just using the PC and scrape the mini director? Although this year 4 universes will be enough. I will be lucky to get my display even running this yr.

You must also be aware that the mini director was never initially designed to run the amount of data required to run pixels, so even using the ELOR you still may be bound by refresh rate limitations

OK so to prevent any issues just use the PC to control both.
