LSP Error side-by-side

How do I fix the following error.
The application has failed to start because of its side-by-side config is incorrect.Please see the app event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

An error ive never heard about.

I would try to do a complete uninstall and reinstall as sounds like something may have become corrupt.

but before you do that do a backup of your user files if you have any effects and such saved

Have a look at the event logs on that machine. It may lead you in the right direction. I've seen this error before with other applications and it's more likely due to a corrupt library file or .net installation.
