Hey guys... I'm new to the forum and kinda fell into your world while trying to find less expensive alternatives to RGB controllers for pixels. I've seen some people attempting to do video to pixel matrix using arduino and such. I wasn't sure if any of you have seen Madmapper / Madlight yet. I was originally using it for projection mapping, but once they added the pixel matrix, I got really excited about the posibilities of bridging video based graphics with dmx controlled lighting.

Currently Madmapper only uses ArtNet... but we're hoping for a E1.31 update eventually. I'm doing testing this week with ArtNet to E1.31 translation to a ECG-P2 to 5v 2801 SMD5050 strips.

Here's some examples of how it's been used:

very simple example of dumb strips:

I have heard rumblings from both j1sys and san devices that they are adding or have artnet support as well as e1.31.

the stellascapes products support artnet by defualt as it is more prelevent in the non diy workd.

j1sys says it supports artnet, but I have not seen it in action using artnet
