meanwell supplies from Ray

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Maxwell water proof supply that ray sells are genuine or just a knock off.

They are just cheap power supplies. Not as good of quality but get the job done... As long as you don't over work them

Ray does not sell real meanwells and any power supplies bought directly from China will most probably not carry Australian approvals like C-Tick

Ray can GET genuine Meanwells, they cost a little more, not a ton more, but 50% over his at least.

But are they real meanwells or are they the well know common meanwell clones that many seem to get. Ask him if he can get a HRP450-12 meanwell power supply and then you will know if he really is dealing with Meanwell because this model does not have a clone available.

For DIY the cheapo power supplies that Ray stocks is sufficient for most hobbiest needs, just make sure you carry a spare or 2 as they are cheap enough to do so.
