Mega Tree against a real tree...

Greetings all,

I am looking for anything that would help me wrap my Royal Palm with a Mega Tree. I do not want to damage the tree at all so will not be hammering or drilling into it. My hope is I can attach the topper via Fabric straps or something.

Does anyone know of any ready made products that I can use for such a topper, or comments on any potential pitfalls. One thing I am concerned about is will the tree work properly with top of the megatree being so wide.

Never done it, but what about a strap around the tree and then hang the strips from the strap?

For the short period that you'll have lights on, use rope or a strap and then attache mounting gear to that. The only issue you'll have is tree movement due to wind etc.

Thank you for the feedback... The tree doesn't move very much in the wind so I am not particularly worried about that. Most of the toppers I have found thus far are specifically made for pole mounts. Is there a wall mount type product that is made or designed that I can modify for a Strap type install against the tree?

Hi Brittonv. Toppers are generally there to provide a circular attachment point and maintain distance between strings. The tree itself already provides a solid anchor point, and you could easily ratchet a strap at the height you want the tree to be, and clip your light strings onto the upper strap.
