Mega Tree Lights and Spacing

I'm building a 16' mega tree and was wondering what type of lights people are using and what spacing? (spacing on the string itself)

I was thinking about a C6 or C7 LED String, Does that sound right? Also what should the bulb spacing (on the string) be? 4" 8" ?? I see several different bulb spacing's for sale, :

Is it going to be a pixel tree dumb tree or an old style tree.

I have a pixel tree and I've used 4' spacing

I am building a 2.5m tree and using a 100mm - 4inch spacing.

Its going to be an old style tree with some spiral.

I'd say stick with 4' that should work out about 50 lights per string. I use the rule of thumb, half the height =diameter of base. So a 16" tree would look good with and 8" diameter base (4" radius)

I'm looking at the C7 LED lights, the tree will be about 50-60 ft from the street. Just want to make sure that will look good,

I used C6 for mine and thought it looked great. I use C7 on my roofline and C6 for everything else other than mini trees which I use G12 on.
