I have started with my tree upgrade for 2025, it is currently a semi flat 24 string 50 node ws2811 pixel tree approx 5m to the top of the star. I've had it up for a few years now and it has performed vey well to date, it was originally 16 strings of 75/m strip which had great density but was replaced after a few years when I added another 8 strings.

The plan for this year is 24 strings of 100 pixels but I'm changing to seed pixels in the old style black strip, the reason for the change is 3 fold, 1. to increase the tree density as I have several sequences with animations and to just improve the overall look 2. the price of the seed pixels is attractive at the moment, I'm near retirement and hope to get a few years out of the upgrade without having to spend too much more on it 3. we are prone to high winds and some fairy intense UV damage (NZ summer) to the lights so I have gone to the SFL pixel poppers to provide a mounting platform for the pixel strip, this should also add to the longevity of the lights.

Attached are a couple of photos of the setup, one shows a couple of the 3d prints to date, 2 down 2398 to go.

I'd like to give a shoutout to Jason at SFL Designs for his patience with me getting the stl files from him, I am also doing back to back candy canes which require custom 8mm poppers.

Be interested in more info as you go along about how you're wiring it all up and how your doing power injection (if at all) etc as always good to see how people address this with new seeds.
