I have about 6 3x3m trees to decorate.

I dont want to just put RGB string lights throughout the trees as I have them in many other places and it doesn't look that special.

So I was thinking of Meteor Lights, but they only seem to be sold as 8 tubes , I was thinking 16 tubes per tree.

though this guy went 5 to 7

Any links to decent suppliers and even better, lights that can have their colours changed via the phone app. Interconnect ability also good.

The other option is multi coloured Festoon lights, where the bulbs hang down.

Or Option C
Festoon Lights High with Meteor Lights low under them

The meteor tubes in that video are mains (120V) type. I do not recommend you use mains powered lights in your trees.

I have used 5V meteor tubes in trees before. The first ones were simple types that did their own thing with 5V power applied. They looked pretty good, but were only 200mm long. They also suffered from water ingress, the condensation after I sealed the tops of them.

Last year I used 500mm long 5V pixel meteor tubes. These need a data source (controller) to operate. I got them from Ray Wu (Ali Express) for about $12 a tube from memory. They look quite good, but also suffered from a small amount of water ingress / condensation.

I didn't get around to putting them up this year (due to slackness!). I may still give them another go once I drill a small drain hole in the bottom of each to hopefully stop the trapped condensation issue.

Here's a couple of videos I made about them:
