As a rule of thumb I use 12mm

5mm corflute with the images printed by the local signwriter. I just packed mine away today and they are now about 8 years old (16 months in the sun) with pretty much no sign or wear.

is it expensive to get printed on the corflute?

As I said in my post that I linked to from a few years ago I think it cost me about $35'ish for the printing and for the corflute. It's is so much easier than painting onto timber especially for the artistically impaired like me.
