That voltage discrepancy may be an issue.

fasteddy I have C.L.A.P Global moderator Joined Apr 26, 2010 Messages 6,647 Location Albion Park NSW May 20, 2014 #4 This looks like the 12vdc as it has the chips and 3 LEDs per section. Thats a bummer, just cut out that section and resolder and it will be good again (until the next LED burns out )
