My light Spread Sheet

I thought it would be 8.5ma x 3 = 25.5 ma/1000 = .0255a x 12v = .306w/pixel
I'm new at this, so take it with a grain of salt, but that is how I worked it out and the same for the 12v modules that say they are .72w, working with 18.5ma x 3 = 55.5ma /1000 = .0555a x 12v = .666w which is shy of the .72w they seem to be rated but close enough.
;)

I like your spreadsheet BTW, it is pretty close to how I laid mine out for this year.

This seems to line up more to what I have been using. Of the 0.3w and lines up better with how much power I actually used in lasts years show.

I'm spending more time this year on my spreadsheet and power etc. last year didn't go as planned and am trying to be more prepared. I'm also working on some schematics for how my boxes with controllers fuses and PSU are wired up.

With more power comes more responsibility.

Thanks for sharing your spreadsheet Michael. Very logically laid out. I think I will have to set one up too. Will make it easier to remember IP addresses and channel settings.

Set up my spreadsheet on the weekend. Proved invaluable advice and I am always referring to it when setting up my channels etc in my sequencing files. So thanks again for sharing.

On a side topic I noticed in your spreadsheet Michael that the IP address for the controllers only change by 1 number (ie 192.168.0.101 and 192.168.0.102). When we set up our network at work the IT guy told us not to use IP addresses that were close to each other and to try and always space them out. I gather our advice was not warranted and it makes no difference if they are all consecutive numbers.

That could be good advice for me too. At the moment the IP for my controllers is similar to my computers IP which is a public IP address. I'm changing them this year to private network IP which I've been told start with 192. As far as they are consecutive, well that's the fill tool in excel. Haven't actual change the address yet. Does anyone else have any points on IP address consecutive numbering.

Yes totally, he has helped me out often, will have to buy him a beer one day... 8)
