My Local Lighting Event - Murray River Glows

I ask council about a christmas project but got rejected.
A week later they then asked me if i would be interested in doing another lighting event (not christmas)
Why Not i thought...

Theme - Murray River being opened again
June 15-18

Lets put it this way,
There getting 50 arch's along a 50m path.
With a 40meter seed matrix over the top.

Only issue is, the seed matrix seems to be taking all my build time.

I was looking for something like 'the beatles - under the sea', &/or 'tsunami'

Time has started to escaped me, so sequencing im going to have to ask/pay for.

This is what i have currently done with the xlights setup.. (im hoping its setup corrected in xlights layout)

Funny story that,
fpp 7 doesnt like 648pixels per universe,
it locks up the BBB when playing a sequence

Well i guess its my fault for not being apart of the fpp dev team

But im going to hang it on the side of the house an test the christmas out of it till it works right.
Then im going to continue building the other sections.
For the 2minutes i did get it to work, it looked wicked.

That's a shame the matrix didnt light up in the end Alec. It looked like a great turn out. The walk through arch was great in the video looking down at it. I saw a few fleeting moments of drone footage on FB, which looked amazing too. I'm looking forward to see a few more videos.

certain effects looked supper.. some needed the matrix to support them.
but everyone loved it,
the major now wish's to make the event every year..
so that means improve from mistakes an make it even better.

so the seed matrix will be put on the long fence up there instead.
with words advertising the town etc. and wicked patterns.
and the arch path, could have some projector lighting on it.
maybe painted coro cutouts of bluey etc for more selfie spots.

Our local council does a Winter Festival for the NSW School holidays each year, it starts tomorrow, 1st July and runs until the 16th of July this year.

They have a company come and put some lights up around the park. There nothing special but the kids like it. I have considered asking them for a spot to do something, maybe next year.

I'm putting my lights back up on the house, this weekend though. I should have started a couple of weekends ago, but I have next week off so by this time next what I have planned should be running . . . .

If you do consider it, going large also means bigger bills, esp all them little items you forget, they add up fast.
our simple 10m x 5m christmas displays are nothing.
I was lucky the local council supported me along the way.
Also only promise what you can do in the time frame given.

then the final one..
Dont have a life, as you will be constantly building to get everything ready.

But the rewards are like christmas but 10x better,
with the smiles and happy faces of all ages.

also put feelers out to how much they currently pay the current person.
