Need some basic help for WS2811 RGB

Are you also powering up from the correct end of the string?

Just a quick question, looking at the ws2811 , do they all come with a two pin from the lights? I thought it was a three pin with additional black and red so 5 in total, or does it depend on who you get them from?

I ordered a heap of these and asked for a longer wire length between each module; http://www.scottled.com/e_showproduct.asp?id=199 .. and they all come with 2 pin jst connectors which seemed really odd with 1 wire just left hanging out, not really a problem though as I'm replacing all the connectors where needed with outdoor jobbies; http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/10pcs-lot-3-Core-BLACK-Waterproof-pigtail-20cm-long-each-male-and-female-male-connector-s/701799_1019853359.html

Hi guys,

I've managed to get the lights working. My problem was that one of the 3 strings of lights was faulty.
So onwards and upwards from here, thanks for all the advice, it sure did help in eliminating all the possible problems.
