hi all pretty much my first year doing christmas lights, ill attach a few photos of what it looks like so far got a few more things coming still.

but.. i dont want to sound salty in saying this but the neighbors in the next street over had copied just about everything and done the exact same as me. from the 3m tall santa inflatable to the icicle lights on the gutter even copied the exact same santa, tree and reindeer in the windows. all in the same order with the exact same lights. tonight i went for a walk and as i just left the street i watched them walk from their house and stand outside my house for a solid 5 mins..

i know i cant do anything but its just irritating to put in effort "designing" and planning working out where things should go all for someone to just copy you word for word :/ im not saying i have the best light show or anything like that i just need a place to vent

(just purchased another 3.6 tree for the drive way and mesh lights for the hedge, if theres anything u think i could improve on feed back will be appreciated :)

As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so take it as an inspiring win!
Yes it's a bit annoying but there are plenty of other things to worry about. Like the lake of pixels in your display for example :D (I do like your layout however, reminds me of what I used to do)
We all are guilty of copy.. erm, being inspired from others within the group, and I have no issue in doing so or letting people know it's not my idea, but I also add my own touches of originality.

I wouldn't worry about them, if they are incapable of doing their own by simply creating a carbon copy of your display, then that just shows them for what they are. I can understand you might feel a bit wary about a few might see it as you copying them, but YOU know who is doing the copying.

As djgra79 said, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, take it as that... they know your display is good.

Likewise, we all take 'inspiration' from others. I've even 'copied' those who have put up a 6m megatree, but it isn't really a copy as in what those others have done. :)

As ShellNZ said, try and grab something that they won't be able to get before Christmas to make your display even better.

A static layout is easy to copy, but a pixel sequence is more difficult. I'm sure a pixel display will differentiate the two.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not harmful, it's not like you spent years of training in Christmas display theory only to have someone take shortcuts for the same result. If they have a similar fronted house, it might just make sense to have it like that.

Consider you've now had a hand in 2 Christmas displays. It might bring in more people to the area, and if they're that into it, they might be someone to swap ideas with when either party is stuck. I wish I had an ACL member in my street to borrow parts from. :p
