Hi everyone. My story is probably similar to many newcomers - a fairly basic Christmas lights setup (led strings and icicles) on our old Queenslander and looking to do something a bit more interesting, without drowning the home in pixels. A few years back I came across a video of a lights setup in the USA which was synchronized to an AC/DC track. That sewed the seed, but its only in the last few weeks that I spent some time chasing what is available in software and hardware. Many thanks to Alan Hanson at Hanson Electronics for very helpful advice and supply of the necessary bits and pieces. Last night was a milestone - the lights layout still look the same as the last 10 years, but now rocking to Back in Black. Wooohooo! It's going to be very basic this year. One concern - does this hobby become addictive?
