I started building a new display piece for a bit of bang this year.
It won't have lights, except maybe a spotlight on it.
I got the plans from the internet and am sure a few people already have them...
Can you guess what it is?

That's the one!
Last year my wife dragged me through shops looking for items to put into "Santa's Workshop"
and she just loved all the nutcrackers, so after seeing this one, I decided as a surprise I would build it for her...
it will be a little tricky to hide :-\

At that price it hard to pass up when you consider the amount of hours you need to build something like this.
But if you want something a little more unique or enjoy building props, then Seans instrauctions are great

I agree, and to add to that I am a handyman and work for myself, so I either have all the materials, or I can write them off anyway. Buying something like that I think the tax dept would frown upon :-\

Oh and legs and arms are cut and primed ready for painting 8)

Painting is coming along, even though I only have the base, legs and arms made.
I like to paint early as it gives it time to harden ;)

Starting to all come together. Have you got a name for him yet
never thought of naming him... Maybe my wife can when she sees him. She knows I am building something but has no idea what it is yet :D
