Hi everyone. I'm so excited to be on this page. I love Christmas and have been decorating my yard for many years now. I am in SA.
This year I have decided to try something different and have bought 3 coro singing Christmas trees from. Extreme lighting, but I have no idea where to start or what to do. At the moment I just have the trees themselves. No lights or controller.

I have watched you tube videos on adding the trees to lights, but they don't have the option of the Xtreme lighting props.

Ideally I would like to play the music through a speaker as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome!

If you share a link to the specific trees you bought - I can probably point out the model in xLights (it will be under EFL or Boscoyo).

In terms of what you need from here.
The 101 guide is a good place. ( https://auschristmaslighting.com/wiki/AusChristmasLighting-101 )

Your basically need:
* Pixels - just over 1000 pixels for 3 trees
* a controller to drive them (the Baldrick8 is probably a good choice here, but there are lots of options and they can all drive 3 trees)
* a power supply (to power the pixels and controller)
* some wires to hook it all together
* a box to make sure the controller/power-supply/etc are protected from the rain.

And then:
* something to “run” the show - an old laptop running Xschedule or a raspberry pi running FPP.
* outdoor speakers (and maybe an amp) to connect to that pi/laptop.

I think singing faces like you are doing is the best and easiest way to start with xLights and animated Christmas lights.
