newbie looking for playlist

Hi all have just started with Xlights have made a couple of sequences and want to place them in a play list how do i do it.
Xlights manual shows playlist on tool ar my version latest doesn't any help greatly appreciated

If you are talking about running multiple sequences in a playlist, then you use xScheduler.

you can also run your show from FPP with a play list.

Is this also how you would do a static show? By that I mean having the lights on between 'shows' (so to speak) with no music. Do you just create an animation and then have xScheduler repeat it? or is there a better way?

Yes, xScheduler or FPP to repeat an animation sequence.

Otherwise it might be more efficient (not needing another device) if your controllers support running sequences directly off them.
The Falcons support running sequences off their SD card and so to do Kulp boards.
