darylc has a thermal camera attachment for his iphone and popped up a couple of pictures into chat this evening. The 1st photo, which is the 2nd one below, isn't an alien as it seems to be but is actually 4 fuseholder banks and some fairly warm wires coming off them.
The image that I really liked was the 2nd one he posted. This shows 3 separate enclosures which have 2 fans each on them and the ducts Qiang_Fu_Kiwi had on offer a while back. The middle enclosure has 1 320W supply in it and the air in and air out temperatures were in the order of 21C and 42C. I have rabbitted on any number of times about cooling enclosures and this shows visibly what even a well made and vented enclosure will do. I have seen, and shuddered, at enclosures with 3 350W supplies in them.
