My company decided to drop a bomb on me last Friday

I am no longer employed and 90% of our IT organization has been outsourced

Time to start looking again....

Geez, what a bunch of Morons this company has for management.

Our engineering company is walking a tight rope at the moment. Luckily we are still balancing but for how much longer who knows. It's a scary thought and I don't envy your situation. Best of luck job hunting

That sounds very stressful......sorry to hear that. Hope you find something soon.

I'm feeling your pain. I have found myself in the same situation twice in the last 18 months. If I can suggest one thing, stay positive. It'll be hard to do at times, but staying positive really helps.

Keep the chin up, and all best in the job hunting to come. hope it's a quick break for you

cheers Boof63

thanks for all the positive feedback

Guess it gives me more time to work on my props. ;)
Then we will update the resume

I had a similar experience last year, I agree keep positive and don't dwell on the past, if possible consider the good things that came from the last employer and focus on them.

I know it can be hard but look at it as another opportunity.

Good luck and keep your chin up

I lost my position almost 3 months ago and it was looking absolutely horrible. I stepped into something great a month ago and was very lucky and you guys will be also. I was ready to sell the house, cars, etc. It's very tough out there, but there are good positions for good people. Good luck!!
