Null Pixel Type

Hey All,
Was wondering which pixel type they are using for null pixels and why?
I am using just some of my 2811 30 led/m strip. cutting a section out (bank of 3 leds/section). I was wondering if there is a better/cheaper/smaller pixel everyone users for null pixel.

I think most will use what they are using. I tend to use modules or strings for injection as they are easy to cut and join compared to strip and the cost is not much
