As a newbie, I just made four of these using dumb RGB strips.
I originally used two of the way junction boxes, but ended up drilling 4 holes with a stepped drill bit and fitting 4 x conduit male take offs with lock rings.
Because of the circular shape of the junction box, I ended up using my bench grinder to shape the plastic lock rings to shape. I refer to mine as cartwheels.
