Appreciate the feedback. I have looked at the Klipch speakers. What do you use for the amp. I am using a falcon 16v5 and a few satellite receivers to control the canes. The Pyle speakers are an interesting choice. Will investigate them.

What do you use for the amp?
1. Hand-me-down AV Receiver. (Since I have them under the porch, I have speaker wire running under the porch, thru the sill, and AVR in the basement where there is no weather.)
2. Fosi Audio BT20A, which is small enough to tuck in an enclosure and field deploy (the garden speakers and sub use these).

But there are so many other things that would work. I am sure someone has a yardsale boombox tuned to their FM frequency tucked under a plastic tub for shelter. (I think I will try this for the summer show, not much time to do anything else and I have the perfect unit in hand.)

Since you're likely running 12V power supplies in the yard already, a small automotive amp with a 3.5mm to RCA adapter can sit in the enclosure with your controller or with a differential receiver. I have mine in an ammo can with a power supply and a receiver.

I have run standard indoor stereo speakers for about 20 years now. I have just bagged up the speaker with either a large garbage bag or a dogfood bag. The bags are transparent to sound and having a decent sized speaker (they are about 0.6m x .4m x 0.4m) you can get a lot of sound out without any sort of distortion. I have my speakers at the front of the house which is about 30m from the road and it's comfortable listening to the speakers for the full length of the 70m of frontage that I decorate. I previously had the speaker close to the front fence but the sound level peaks pretty dramatically as you would go past where the speakers were. I just run the speakers off an old stereo unit inside the house tuned to the FM transmitter I use.
