Hi I bought some Advatek Male/female pigtails and would like to connect them to some modules I have. While the actual pigtails Pins are are handily number 1-4 and I know that

Pin 1 = Ground
Pin 2 = Data
Pin 3 = Clock
Pin 4 = Positive

They have RED, YELLOW, BLACK and WHITE wires coming from the pigtail, but how do I work out which wire is connected to which pin? Ie is it safe to assume the red wire is positive, black is negative? Then not sure about the other 2?

I would use a multimeter on continuity/beep setting to see what pin is what. There should be a little indent/slot/key to prevent the plug going in any way but the correct way, you can then match the pins up with the mating connector to check they are correct. If you have a male and female connector, go from red wire to red wire and check continuity, repeat for all colours.
