Power Supply Cords

Just a quick question guys, I know everyone must be busy with their projects.

For Mean Well power supplies, I see you can purchase an AC power cord in the US http://www.progressiverc.com/ac-power-cord-for-mean-well-power-supplies.html.

Does anyone have a source for any similar ready-made cords going to a fork/spade connector available in Australia for 240v AU power sockets? What do you guys normally do?

I use 1m extension lead and cut the end off, or when I'm at the Dump I go to the washing machine/fridge section and cut those off and crimp my own

Just at a guess, selling such a cord would be illegal in Australia, also I think by rights these cords should be installed and by a sparky. But it is nothing a lot of common sense and good dose of care can counter.


Superman's suggestions are on the money, particularly reusing old hardware leads.

at the retail price its likely not worth it, however my free 'trade' card makes it $3. They have free next day shipping for orders over $100 to Melbourne Metro.....just remember to get the trade card and get everything cheaper. (I noticed your in Queensland, but hopefully this will hep someone else)

Well...I take it back about the illegal thing. Thuoght though just looking at those exposed wires make me cringe
