i was aware of this last night but wanted to protect phil's privacy.

based on emails she experienced a heart attack during transfer from one hospital to another.

went back to first hospital, performed some angio style surgery looking for problem, found no blockage (good news), diagnosed with another syndrome, should be treatable.

all prayers and thoughts with phil and mum.

Firstly, Thank you for your wishes and prayers, i will most certainly pass them on. (brung a tear to the eye)

Summary for you (get's it clear in my head as well)

After 18 days being in hospital she was finally being transferred to home hospital in Moruya http://goo.gl/maps/4U0xz
Unfortunately just before half way she suffered sever chest pains and a heart attack, she was taken to Brainwood hospital and then transferred back to Canberra,
Admitted to the Emergency area around 7.30pm, seen a cardiac specialist by 10pm who was concerned enough to schedue an emergency Cardiac catheterization for possible Angioplasty http://www.heartsite.com/html/ptca.html of a blocked artery. She went into the Cath Lab around 10.30pm and was back in the Coronary Care Unit around 11.30pm.
The outcome was that her arteries are good (for her age) with no blockages and the procedure identified the issue and has given a diagnosis of TakiTsubo Cardiomyopathy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takotsubo_cardiomyopathy

She has had an OK night and I will see her in a few hours time.

The speed and attention was impressive and a little scary all at the same time, in the 2.5hrs we were in the Emergency Department i don't recall a doctor or intern being less than 30 seconds away from the bed.

Again Thanks to all

Phil

I told my mother of all your kind thoughts and she said to thank everyone for them, brought a smile to her face (and another tear to my eye)

Thanks
