I had some short lengths of 20mm conduit left over from another Christmas project and with not much to do on a cold Sunday morning I thought that I would make a new star for the house. I’ll give it a squirt of paint and cable tie pixels to it. It was cheap and easy to make and should look good when finished2017-05-30 16.00.53.jpg 2017-05-30 16.01.14.jpg 2017-05-30 16.00.24.jpg .

I used a clear adhesive that is mainly used to glue acrylic, it works as well as normal PVC glue which I had run out of.

I got the star painted on Saturday morning, the photo shows it in my paint shop...

Excellent thanks for that. So that would put your node tips at about 50mm apart on the star?

Reason for the question is I am looking to make some spinners and I like the idea of not drilling but cable tie them as you have done.

I stretched my centres to pretty much as far as they could go which is around 70mm

you will have no problems with 50mm

After I cable tied, I squeezed a little clear silicone under each node to make sure they stayed in place
