Hi everyone,

I've installed the vamp plugin into the appropriate folder, but there is no change in the timings menu. I asked on the xLights/nutcraker forum, no answer. I tried the facebook page...someone actually gave me Windows instructions.

I've installed the plugin into this folder - ~ /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Vamp/
I've rebooted the computer after install. I've deleted and tried again. I'm pretty good with a Mac, but this one stumps me.

Can anyone here help? Thanks

I don't know if it's a requirement but on the install I did the other day (on a pc) I installed Audacity as well because I wasn't sure if that was required or not.

I did try that first as the QM vamp plugins do come with Audacity, but you can install them separately too.
But thanks anyway.

Hi @Verb75 - I installed it on the mac, but it was so long ago I cant remember how I did it. It took me a few goes fro memory. Instructions here http://www.vamp-plugins.org/download.html?platform=osx&search=key&go=Go#install mention a environment variable - thats not set different to the actual instal loction?
Brad! You sir are awesome. From the link that you provided I was able to figure out that not only did I have to put the plugins into the user folder, but I also had to create a duplicate folder in the system. Thanks Mate.

Need some help with this same problem on my iMac. Files are in the /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Vamp/ directory but no luck. Have restarted and although not required, installed Audacity (which also cannot see the plugins in its directory) Any ideas appreciated.

If you haven’t already, try installing them in the system library as well. From Macintosh HD, install in system/library/...
Hope that helps fix the issue.

SOLVED : Put an older version of the QMVamp files in the specified directories and then it started working. Updated the files and its still working. Sage advice from Keith Westly was to look in the xLights Log file 'Tools' - 'Log File' and I read through the log file to see where xLights was trying to load the QMVamp files. I could see that it was loading them but then it would fail. Rolled back to an older version [qm-vamp-plugins-1.7-osx-universal] in both locations as dictated by the xlLghts log file and hey presto QMVamp timings in xLights. Thank you Keith Westly.
