I have just bought a new Raspberry Pi 2 and it requires around 5v @ 1.5a.
I have a Samsung phone charger that is rated at 2a. Can I use this?
Or are usb chargers like old school battery chargers and vary the voltage as the charge level increases?

I don't want to damage it before I even get to use it.

It's good to use. USB power supplies are regulated unlike lead acid battery chargers for cars.

Thanks Alan, I expected they would be, but you can never be too careful with electronics :)
