relighting old wire frame motifs with led ropelight.....

whats the best way to relight old wire frame motifs with led rope lights in different colours?

and and join colours?

white and dye the outer?

talking shortish distances of various colours to make like trains, etc....

any help would be muchly appreciated.

does anyone know if its possible to get clear ropelight custom made with certain colours at certain places along the light, like a clear light with a 1m block of white, 0.5m of red, 0.25m of blue, etc ... ????

I did mine with clear ropelight, and coloured it with an aerosol Glass Paint. It's over 10 years old now and still has colour.
