RGB lights - For cubbyhouse :-)

So my wife decided to buy a cubby house for Annalise for Christmas. Of course she ordered it unstained and so a lot of sanding and painting is currently occurring.

If I'm going to go to this much work I want to make it worthwhile. I'm thinking some remote control RGB lighting would be appropriate.

I've got 12v power supplies out the proverbial, any recommendations? I could just grab one of the generic 5m or 10m dumb RGB strip with remotes but wondering if there are better form factors to use.

Sounds like a great idea. The only concern I would have is making it kid-proof (if there is such a thing). The last thing you want is a visitor kid to pull something open or apart and make it bare for the next time you turn them on. Kep us posted though, I'd love to see pics of the end result...
