Seed pixels or bullet pixels for leaping arches

Hey guys, I was going to buy some large leaping arches and was wondering if I should use bullet pixels or 3D print slots for the seed pixels. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks. Here is the arch https://www.extremelightingdisplays.com.au/shop/christmas/arches/large-arch-10mm/
I have done both and feel the pixel bullets are a lot less work. I am in the process of doing 2 new driveway arches which are 4m wide, with 375 seed pixels on each, they wrap around pool noodles and are mounted in 3d prints I got the stl of SFL in the US. These prints are really nice and defuse the light really well, I have been printing for quite a while but I fell it will be worth it in the end.

Nice to see someone from Lonnie on here, we lived in Lonnie early 2000 for a few years and go back for a holiday now and again, next will be sometime 03 2026.

I have seen many people complaining about how fiddly the 3d printed seed holders are.

You get the benefits of flatter props, but its a pain in the ass to install them.

there is things like the mattos evo pixel(and many others similar), which are basically a seed in a bigger housing that fit in bullet holes that can give you the benefits of seeds without having to deal with the fiddly adapters.

Agree with the others ... you can get the evo, gumdrop, and gem-style pixels direct from China now. These are basically seed pixel tech but with bigger globs over them to fit in coros. If you want to use plain seed pixels for your arch, don't use a coro, use a different mounting like a wire or a pipe, with the pixels inside or zip tied to the outside depending on the pipe.

I agree these are a pain to clip together, due to a work accident many years ago I have some shorter fingers which makes it challenging but still achievable.

I do like the look of the evo pixels but the extra cost makes the seed pixels and 3d prints more palatable for me, I also have the spare time to make them. It's like everything in life there are choices and people will choose what's right for them at the time.
