Show audio device

Hi all.

Would like to rack your Brian’s, what device are you using to get your show audio to your fm transmitter. I have a Hansen He123 board and my main show board with a BB Black. I understand that I could plug my sound blaster card directly into this but I have been having issues doing it this way when I tried. In previous years I have used a very old raspberry pi but this year when I went to connect it all up the audio sounds very jittery and poor quality. I think I would put this down to the device I just to old and slow no. I would prefer to have my fm transmitter in my office so when standalone devices are you using?

I'm using a raspberry pi 4 board as the dedicated fpp / show player, and then a USB soundblaster adaptor that's connected to the FM transmitter, I was able to get an ethernet cable from the display into the house this year, so I've moved the FPP player and transmitter into my office

If you have a BB Black, I would recommend a powered usb hub and plug the sound blaster device into that. I understand the usb ports are under powered and can have some issues when powering the SB device. I use a splitter from audio out which goes into an outdoor radio and then the transmitter. Make sure you use quality cables and I'm told you want the transmitter as high as possible with the antenna in a vertical position. All my stuff was outside in bud boxes, but the transmitter is now sitting on my window sill about 1 foot higher than the floor of my front porch.
