sound controlled lightning

Hey everyone one
I work at a club/bar (not for profit). Is there an off the shelf system that can control lights based on sound coming from near by speakers

You are looking for something called a "Color Organ". To answer your questions we would need to know a bit more about the lights. Here is an example of an inexpensive controller. You would hook it up to something like the SSRez or other solid state SSR.

Current we only have one dmx par red green blue light, one laser light and a disco ball (on demo mode). I’m wanting something to respond to music with out running a control board.( like a mixer board) . Most like dmx 3 pin connection lighting.

I was in the entertainment industry 15 years ago before leds hit the market.

Its like social club for our members. I volunteer my time, 50c to a dollar increase per drink on cost of purchase provides the money coming in. Which we spend on hiring bands, buying pizzas etc.
