It looks pretty simple to do. Try your local plumbing supply for Clear PVC primer add some solvent based dye and have a go. Why don't you have a go?

Any plumbing store should have the the clear solvent for probably under $20. The specified coloured dyes might be a little expensive or potentially hard to find. If I was going to try it I'd either try food dye or go to a craft shop for a petroleum based or suitable dye.

Sorry I missed that part. Anyways Clear Plumbing Primer is less than $6 per 500ml.
Anyone got a idea of the dyes? Eckersley’s Art & Craft ( that's where my daughter purchases all here art supplies for work) don't appear to have anything suitable.

i know Leather workers use "spirit " based dyes and they are relatively inexpensive as well as comming in several different colours and shades (also easily mixable for other colours to) any saddlery supplies should have it
