I have seen several videos of folks with very organized ways to store their show doing the off season.
That is not me!! And i have used all the space I can find in the garage.
My options for more space are the attic or the crawl space below the house.
I guess my question is which option has the most advantages or disadvantages?
Heat and access to the attic are my first two concerns.
No props would go in attic, maybe in crawl space.
Just asking what would be your first choice if you where facing this issue.
Located in North Carolina USA. Temps would range from 15 degrees F in the winter to 100 degrees F in the summer

A separate storage building, would be ideal, but not in the budget:(

I put an additional shelf in the garage.

Temp wise, inside my garage is over 50c+ so 120+F all summer long and no issues. Heat is only an issue if things are running and even then I think its a bit overstated as a/the cause of failure.

During my show the ambient air temp is 40c

I have everything in the attic/roof space.

In Perth, Australia its hot as buggery with temps in the roof reaching up to 70c in when we have 40+ days. No issues at all

I too have been storing roof lines and candy canes props in the roof space and it does get quite warm up there in summer, I've not had any issues with the props. The 5mm chromatrim is starting to flake after a number of years use, and being mounted on a hot roof all Dec does not help its longevity
