    Find Me On:
I did last year....very finnicky so I stopped using them.

However, I gave some to my neighbour and he found the same thing so he soldered the strip to the 4 little metal pins and they have worked well.

One problem I just experienced is where I soldered a connector onto a "cut point". I checked all my (WS2811) strips just before putting them into my arches last weekend and I found one not functional even thought I checked each one when I was soldering several weekends ago. I found that the connector I had soldered onto a cut point of one of my strips wasn't making good contact. I had to cut one pixel out and solder to the next one; for some reason I couldn't get solder to "stick" to the copper conductors on that particular pixel... Anyway, I would sure like a "non-solder" connector option that worked well. These strips are a bit on the finicky side for me. I guess I need to learn how to handle these items.....
