Hi all, just thought I would share the successful install of my Christmas motif on the roof. This was my first time installing anything more complex than tree lights. I got the idea from this page from @Cranzy so thanks
Our roof is corrugated and obviously didn't want to drill holes in to roof etc so went with the cable tie/silicon approach. Made the conduit frames out of 32mm pvc piping. The marine grade silicon stuck to the roof no problem at all, but came off the cable tie mounts easily as it had these foam stickers on it and that just didn't work that well. So we then had to peel the stickies off re-siliconed and then for added strength siliconed over the top of the mount on to the roof. Worked a treat. Then a sand bag for just one extra level of security but probably completely unnecessary.
Really stoked with the result for our first display
