Tax on Christmas Light displays

now why wouldnt that surprise me. But I doubt they would be able to, we are technically already taxed on the euqipment for the displays.

Also, what constitutes a taxable display? does that mean, 85 year old Mavis that puts her solar powered Reindeer outside her front door at christmas will get taxed?

We already get taxed on the purchases another tax on the tax thanks Wayne & Julia

If you read the full report Graham they also want to limit the power used, On days over 35 degrees you can only switch on every third channel   ;)

.... I reckon the cleverest bit is they won't even have to sell a new tax..... all they have to do is change the wording of the 'flood levy' slightly and its covered!....
Nice work. :)

Since you have long days and short nights you in a prefect position to run all of the lights off of batteries that are charged by solar panels during the day. You would require all LEDs but that we're we're all moving to anyway.

Then you can tell the law makers to go to ...
