My 5.4A was on the 10.5V setting... as Eddy said, the current should stay the same assuming you have sufficient voltage to drive the LED.

I measured 55ma per pixel about .67 watt. The regulator eats up the power. I injected power every 50 pixels or in the middle of 2-50 count strands.
