Testing new nodes

Hello all, is it possible to test my new nodes from Ray without having a controller. Meaning, should I be able to hook up the + & - and get lights or does it also need data and clock? Thanks!

Intelligent pixels need data (and clock if they use it) to do anything.

If you power them up with just + and - , you *may* get some random lighting of the nodes, or.... you may get nothing.

Thanks David! I forgot to order a test controller from Ray until my E681's come in!
