We decided that our house was lacking some nice stars. So we decided to get some (16) cut from perspex using a friend's excessively large laser cutting machine:

We then hand glued 2 sets of 80 LEDs into each star with a glue gun, making 2 star shapes (the larger star is in the first photo). That's 160 LEDs per star, with 16 stars, so 2560 lights to glue individually. Took about 3/4 hour per star to complete.

And finally we hung them on the house using hooks from Bunnings designed for hanging pot plants and added power and dmx control.

its strange to see someone smiling while hot glueing lights.
